TRAINING

Rood Boven Groen offers training for (passenger) shipping. All our courses comply with the requirements of STCW’95. Of course Rood Boven Groen also prides itself for its quality and therefore all our courses are ISO 9001 2000 certified.

The tragedy of the Costa Concodia showed us clearly how important a well-trained crew is for providing maximum safety to the passengers during an emergency.

In our training Passenger Safety the understanding of life-saving equipment and optimal communication with the passengers is vital.

The training Crisis Management and Human Behaviour gives more insight into the behaviour of people during the stress of an emergency and demonstrates how to deal with this, so that a disaster becomes manageable.

Our Crowd Management training covers the control of groups (passengers) following emergency procedures using emergency plans and muster lists to facilitate an evacuation or rescue as successfully as possible.

The courses are held in-company (on board). This ensures the effectiveness of the course. In addition it enhances the motivation of the students as especially the practical part of the course can be held in an everyday and realistic environment.

• X-treme Training

These courses take the students beyond the STCW95 standard. We develop tailor made training for you – weather you work off-shore, with the police force or as crew on a passenger ship. Exercises, such as man over board, evacuation in case of fire, abandon ship and cold water training can be incorporated.

The following STCW95 courses are offered throughout the year:

• Basic Safety Training STCW95
• Our next Basic Safety Training will take place from  17 up to 20 of April in Enkhuizen

• Crisis Management and Human Behaviour

• Crowd Management

• Passenger Safety Training for passenger ships (including Safety Training for Personnel  providing direct services to passengers in passenger spaces)

If you are interested in more than one training course, we can offer you a special rate on the combination of courses. For all other courses the minimum is set at 5 participants.

We offer training in the correct use and maintenance of your medical equipment on board.

In addition you can call on us throughout the year for AED and CPR training of crew members.
