Coronavirus (COVID-19) Contingency Plan and Guidelines – Revision 13

Update on the Corona Calamity Plan: Due to new (external) insight, and after internal consultation, the NSI has decided to keep the COVID-19 Contingency Plan available and valid until 30-06-2023, which is why the Contingency Plan will no longer be extended.

As a result, the following (other) chapters will no longer apply as of 1 April 2023:

• Section 6 – Waivers of the Minimum Safe Manning Document (MSMD)
• Section 10 – Certificates of Proficiency (CoP)
• Section 11 – Recognition of a Certificate of Competency (CoC) or Certificate of Competence (CoP)
• Section 16 – Maritime Labor Convention (MLC 2006)
