Garbage Record Book from 100GT

New changes to MARPOL Annex V require, from May 1, 2024, that ships with a gross tonnage of 100 tons and over must maintain a Garbage Record Book. This requirement was previously for ships with a gross tonnage of more than 400GT and when transporting 15 persons or more.

The relevant amendments to Resolution MEPC.360(79) also include new requirements regarding waste reception facilities for ports in Arctic waters.
