STSV/PSCRB CoP: requirements & dates for officers sailing vessels

We hereby provide a comprehensive overview of the upcoming dates and requirements related to the new STSV regulations for sailing vessels under 500 GT, ensuring all seafarers are fully informed and prepared:

• Until the 1st of December, 2025, sailing vessels <500 GT may sail without having a seafarer on board qualified by the PSCRB or STSV CoP.
• As of 1 December, 2025 every sailing vessel <500 GT must have at least one crew member on board holding a valid PSCRB or STSV CoP.
• As of 1 July, 2026 all officers on board must hold one of the mentioned CoP’s to serve on Dutch sailing vessels <500 GT. From this point, the CoP will also be mandatory to obtain a CoC as an officer on sailing vessels <500 GT at Kiwa.

The STSV-training provided  by EZS is scheduled on:

• 31 Oktober and 1 November
• 21 and 22 November
