Currently, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management is working on a revision of the Seafarer\u2019s Act and the underlying &#8216;Besluit zeevarenden&#8217; and &#8216;Regeling zeevarenden&#8217;. The revised law will be called \u2018Wet bemanning Zeeschepen\u2019.<br \/>\nThe new Seafarers Act offers:<br \/>\n\u2022 room for innovations in maritime education;<br \/>\n\u2022 reduced administrative burdens;<br \/>\n\u2022 stimulation of the competitive position of Dutch shipping.<\/p>\n<p>The publication date of the law is not yet known. The aim is sometime in 2024.
