According to <a title=\"https:\/\/wwwcdn.imo.org\/localresources\/en\/OurWork\/Environment\/Documents\/MEPC.1-Circ.834-Rev.1.pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/wwwcdn.imo.org\/localresources\/en\/OurWork\/Environment\/Documents\/MEPC.1-Circ.834-Rev.1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-outlook-id=\"ac0a88c9-54b1-4549-92d9-f0728d120f39\">Directive MEPC.1\/Circ.834\/Rev.1<\/a>, in the section \u201cMinimization and management of ship-generated wastes\/residues\u201d (paragraph 27), the supplier or manufacturer of medicinal products must be able to provide facilities for the processing or disposal of expired medicinal products.<\/p>\n<p>This means that ships are not themselves responsible for the final destruction of such medication, but that use must be made of suitable facilities provided by the supplier or manufacturer.
